Emancipating Andie

I just can't wait for this book. I loved the first book of Priscilla Glenn and I'm pretty sure I'd love this just as much. It will sooooon be out. :)

Here's the synopsis:

Ever since the one time Andie Weber threw caution to the wind - and paid the price for it - she’s learned that it’s safer and smarter to live life playing by the rules. Now she’s got a great apartment, a steady job, and a wonderful boyfriend in Colin; he’s sweet, stable, and essentially perfect – except maybe for the fact that his best friend is Chase.

Chase McGuire lives his carefree, unstructured life strictly for himself. Dripping sarcasm and oozing wit, he refuses to censor his feelings or opinions for anyone, making no apologies for either and wearing his abrasiveness like a badge of honor. No one has ever gotten under Andie’s skin the way Chase does – and vice versa.

So when Andie and Chase find themselves forced to take a two-day road trip together, they are already dreading an inevitable all-out war. But as the trip progresses, and the undeniable friction that has always defined their relationship slowly begins to wear away their preconceived notions of each other, Andie and Chase discover they both have a lot to learn about life, courage, happiness, and the age-old battle between logic and love.

Check it out on Goodreads and add it to your TBR list! :)

Here's my thoughts:

I'd give all the stars in the heavens if i can!!! lol
That's how good this book is. Nobody should miss this. I can't believe i've waited long before finally reading this. I'm floored and beyond ecstatic that i read such AMAZING story.

I love this book right from the beginning. The cover drew my attention and pulled me to curiosity. And, I wasn't wrong. The story is as beautiful as its cover. :)

Everything's in it. Friendship, Family, Trust, Betrayal, Sacrifice, Affection, Honesty, Love, etc. It's there and it will give you one helluva roller coaster ride. :)

I don't want to say much about its plot because there's just a lot to say and I intend to summarize the book as short as i can. However, every time i try to think, only one word pops out of my mind...

B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L !

That's it. This is totally captivating, heart-wrenching, tear jerking, swoon worthy. I love every bit of it. ;)

I recommend this to EVERYONE! :)

Back To You by Priscilla Glenn

Hi everyone! New Year has just come and I'm done with my third book for the year. I really really like the last book I read so I wanna share here my review of the book. The title is "Back To You" and written by Priscilla Glenn.

This a review of the book I wrote on Goodreads. :)

5 stars plus the moon!!! lol

After reading the book, i feel unsettled and so eager to tell everyone how great this book is. I cannot even believe this is a debut novel of the author, Priscilla Glenn. It's just...very well drafted! I like that the past and present were written and arranged alternately. Although, I was really anxious to leap over the past so I would know what happens next with the present. But, I knew it won't be the same. I admire that the author put together the significant events of Lauren and Michael so every chapter is relevant.

The story is structured with reality. I mean, it's not some fairytale romance. It can transpire in actual life. It's a second chance romance and you'd find yourself falling in love with the characters twice.
Michael has quite some troublesome reputation but that didn't stop Lauren from becoming his friend. They eventually became bestfriends despite the raising eyebrows and skeptical glances they earned from some people. They grew closer and Lauren found herself being inlove with Michael. The feeling was mutual but Lauren didn't know that. Michael held back his feelings for some personal issues crafted in his mind since he was young. Time came when he needed to leave to forget everything he had and move on with his life. Lauren expected everything between them would remain the same despite him leaving but she was proven wrong.

Years had passed and a lot has changed. But, some things are unchangeable and you meet people who no matter the amount of distance, time and sorrow apart, when they're back, there's no denying the fact that they truly never left. They stayed, just buried in your heart. :)

Whoa! i know i'm getting emotional. I'm just overwhelmed with how amazing this book is. Even the love scenes were good. Not intense, but just perfect! :)

GREAT READ!! *two thumbs up*

Finally!

Whew! Finally, I've come to a resolution to write this short blog (i plan to make it short).
After a while of dreading whether or not to write something, I figured it won't hurt if I post some thoughts and introduce myself  to you just in case you decide to continue reading this. Lol

Anyway, I'm Kristel. A Registered Nurse but I'm currently a devoted aunt so I'm almost always at home and skimming through pages of books/ebooks. I will soon be on a hunt for a job as a nurse so I'm taking all the spare time I have left and pledge myself to read and finish atleast 2-3 books per week.

I've never been big in writing because I don't have much time and I prefer to do other things. Although when I was younger, I used to write my own journal and even owned a diary. I also wrote poems. (haha) Writing has  just been my outlet. Well, it still is but I've toned down with the rising of technology and the conventional function of what we call FRIENDS. ;)
I wasn't even a reader and I used to loathe books. Really, they just seem so..boring. I'd rather read a magazine and other stuff just not a book with no images and full of dry succession of words. Like a typical youngster, I prefer to go out with friends and party on a friday night than to snuggle in bed with a printed work on hand. However now that I consider myself almost an adult (haha), there's been some turn of events.   I would recently spend my nights devouring novels and/or cuddle up my kindle/nook/ibook.

It's safe to say that I've become addicted to reading. I just became fascinated with books after a friend introduced me to wattpad and also after reading the famous fifty shades of grey.  I didn't think I would eventually develop such strong interest in books. Maybe I was just handed a wrong title when I was young. lol
Apparently, my fascination went to a higher degree. I started befriending authors, stalking them on twitter, facebook and goodreads and kept myself posted on the release of their books. And to honor the authors of books I adored, I devote this blog site to post my reviews and other stuff related to their books. :) I thank God for their amazing hands and mind to create such awesome pieces making readers feel all emotions possible a human heart can take.

As a starter, I really hope to find and be friends with other bloggers. I would also greatly appreciate book recommendations and feedbacks with regard to books I've/you've read.  :)

Hmm, I think this isn't short anymore so I'm closing this by saying...
Thank You so much for taking your time in reading this. :)
I sure hope to know you and be my friend! ;)

p.s: If you also have a blogsite, don't be shy in telling me. I'd be happy to read your thoughts too! :)

HAVE A GREAT DAY! :)
